Chris Rock Adds Broadway to His Showbiz Resume

Comedian/actor Chris Rock is about to improve his resume once again!

Rock will make his Broadway debut in Stephen Adly Guirgis’ play TheMotherfucker With the Hat next spring, alongside Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez.

Performances of the 14-week engagement begin March 22, 2011, with an opening set for April 11 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. The story focuses on a love story between Cannavale’s Jackie and Rodriguez’s Veronica, who have been in love since eighth grade. Out on parole and living sober, Jackie is getting help from his sponsor Ralph D, portrayed by Rock.
